I should be working, but I didn't feel like it, and I looked on
's journal, and there she had this tag thing she'd done and she just said to anyone who wanted to do it to do it and I read her answers to questions and I thought…why the hell not?
So, here goes.
RULES:1. You must answer the questions of person who tagged you, then post 10 different questions, but they must be your own questions, don't copy anyone else's questions!
2. You must then tag at most 10 people who must answer your questions, which you cannot answer yourself
3. They can be random questions but mustn't be anything too rude or too sexual.
's Questions1. What book are you reading right now? I
just finished reading a book today,
The Love Goddess' Cooking School</i> by Melissa Senate. It was very cute and warm and fuzzy. The next book I'm going to start reading (probably tonight, if I ever finish my work) is
The Perfect Bride for Mr. Darcy</u> by Mary Lydon Simonsen. Yes…I'm back in my Austen Kick. (It happens occasionally).
2. If hell had the same song on repeat, what would it be? Fireworks by whatshername. I
hate that song with a passion, and I don't really know why, except it grates on my nerves…to quote Madeline Kahn in "Clue", "I hated her
soooo much, it …it…the… flames…flames…FLAMES! On the side of my face…breathless…breathing…
heaving breaths…"
3. Who was your first animated crush? (cartoons, video games, whatever) Oh, wow. First animated crush…hmmm…I can't remember a particular crush, except I might've had a teeny tiny crush on He-Man…or, well, actually Adam was more my style.
4. Would you skydive given the chance? If you have, did you like it? Probably not…unless it was with someone else in tandem – so I wouldn't have to have the responsibility of knowing when to pull the string. It's not so much the falling I worry about, but I'd be too concerned about when to pull the string to really enjoy the fall.
5. If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be? Probably a spotted leopard. I always wanted to be like Madonna's character at the end of "Who's That Girl?" and walk off with a leopard trailing after me.
6. What's your comfort food? You mean, other than chocolate? And I suppose Ben & Jerry's Phish Food Ice Cream is out too? Okay, so actual food: Cuban style white rice (very different from Chinese or Japanese food style white rice) and Cuban style breaded steak.
7. What's your favorite fictional pairing? Wow, that's a tough one. I tend to find a pairing in anything I watch, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I think, if we're not sticking to canon, I'd have to say Robin/Raven, though, for obvious reasons. ^_^ If we do have to stick to canon, well…then I think I'd probably go with everyone's favorite fictional pairing, Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett from "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, or, close second, Benedict and Beatrice from "Much Ado About Nothing" by William Shakespeare.
8. Greatest pet peeve? Oh, I hate it when people suck on their teeth. HATE it.
9. What would you say is the theme song for your life? Depends on the day you catch me, really. Somedays it's "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor (got me through Law School); somedays it's "Right As Rain" by Adele; somedays it's "I Want To Be Evil" by Eartha Kitt; sometimes, "Billionaire" by Travis McCoy, or "Not Listening" by Papa Roach or "Uprising" by Muse…and somedays – the good days – it's "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" by Celia Cruz or "Indestructible" by Disturbed. Once, a friend played "Hand Me Down That Can 'O Beans" from "Paint Your Wagon" and it seemed like an appropriate theme song at the time. (I even, occasionally, have days when it's all "Ease On Down The Road" by Micheal Jackson, "Accentuate the Positive" by Ella Fitzgerald, or "Get Happy" by Judy Garland…) But if I had to say a general one, maybe it would be "Feelin' Good" by Nina Simone or "It Happens" by Sugarland. Those speak more to my general feelings.
10. What is the weirdest thing you've eaten?Oh, I'm a very picky eater…so I couldn't say that I've eaten very many weird things…if it looks weird, I generally stay away from it. Probably the weirdest thing I've eaten – which isn't very weird when you think about it – is my grandma used to mix an egg yolk into my ice cream when I was a kid – I was a bad eater and it helped give me extra protein. Does that count as weird?
My Questions for You1. What's your favorite movie and why?
2. If you could pick between being proficient in either art (such as painting, drawing, etc), writing, or composing music, which would you pick?
3. If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
4. What is your favorite memory?
5. What do you hear
right now?
6. What is your favorite thing (it can be anything, from a pen to a pillow – whatever, so long as it's inanimate)?
7. What was the last thing you read or watched or heard that touched you in some way?
8. If you could any profession (without regard to money), what would you be?
9. If you could ask me to write about anything (a scenario, a pairing, a fandom), what would it be?
10. What is the one movie or tv-show that you never get tired of watching?
I'll follow
's example and tag anyone who wants to do this, and also ask that you post a link to this journal once you've done it.
